Dec 07, 2009 The sound was coming find until yesterday (12/5/2009) but suddenly went off. I could not decipher the reason for the sound suddenly stopping. Here is the wierd thing: when I look at the volume mixer, I can see the mixer control moving up and down as the system sounds are played or as any sound/ music is played in the laptop.
Dec 22, 2015 Basically, the problem I have is that my speakers volume increases and decreases by itself while the system volume (mixer) is unchanged. I am using Xonar DG Pci 5.1 but I am quite sure its not my sound cards problem because the same problem occured when I was using sound blaster VX 5.1 .Moreover, I have also changed my motherboard, so I believe the problem comes from the speakers.

Nov 22, 2017 I just built this computer over the summer and about 3 months ago the volume started jumping up and down for no reason. It is absolutely maddening. At first I thought it was just Spotify, but now I’m seeing it happen with everything. I’ve reinstalled the driver and disabled audio enhancements and there have been several Windows updates since the problem started. I don’t know what else to ...
It’s a LE32 B450, volume bar is on the screen and menu will not work either so can’t reset the tv. Once I access the menu icon it keeps toggling on its own and is now in Dutch.
Try tapping on your volume up volume down and mute keys. This worked on my win 10 notebook. You might need to push “Function” to make them operate, depending on your pc.. You can temporarily make the black volume box disappear by disabling the sound drivers in control panel,,device manager., sound video and game controls
Jan 16, 2017 In fact, if you open the "Volume mixer" by right-clicking on the speaker icon, you'll probably find the problem already: most of the time the volume of your PC is turned down for particular applications or programs such as Google Chrome or other navigators. It is for that reason that when you are listening to music or watching videos and suddenly the volume goes down the volume controller
The Fix. To fix this, just go back to the Channel rack, right-click on the automation clip channel that is changing the volume, and click “Delete” from the drop-down menu. Easy! Now the automation clip that was controlling the volume is gone. Is It An Event? An event is very similar to an automation clip, but is usually used to record live automation.

Dec 22, 2015 Hi, I've been having a problem with the volume mixer lately. I remember setting my headset down (Corsair H1500) coming back to is being very loud. I tried going to the volume mixer and dragging it down, but as I drag it down is just goes back up. Whenever I unplug my headset, plug it back in, then go in the volume mixer it works.
I haven’t tried it, but there’s another technique to consider: I believe you can also pull up Windows 10's Sound mixer options via a Start Menu search. In the screen that appears, scroll down ...

The volume on my laptop has been going up and down constantly for the last couple of days and it is driving me crazy. I have re-installed my sound driver, scanned for viruses and to no prevail please help. If it helps I have a hp pavilion dv5.
It is NOT usable when you have to continually adjust the volume levels to compensate for the f-ing idiotic automatically adjusting volume levels. The volume gets way too loud, so I manually turn it down. Then the volume gets way too low, so I have to manually adjust it bck up again, in the f-ing middle of the songs!!! WTF!!!
Dec 06, 2010 When I play the sample music the volume bar shows the equalizer bouncing like it is sending out audio, but any speakers I plug into it produce no sound. I have tried: different speakers, different jacks, 4 on the back 1 on the front, updating the audio driver, windows updates, rebooting, and yelling and now I am out of ideas.
Mar 10, 2016 When you first open it, Volume Mixer will likely just show two volume sliders: Device (which controls the master volume) and System Sounds. Even if you have other apps open, they won’t show up on Volume Mixer until they actually make a sound. When you use an app to play a sound, that app appears in the Volume Mixer. You can adjust the volume ...

You can adjust the volume by clicking on the white fader bar and dragging this up or down. If you see a 'CLIP' warning, this means your audio is being distorted. Drag the fader down until the 'CLIP' warning stops displaying to stop the audio from distorting.
